Permutations of Working Together

Updated: Sep 1, 2021

Permutations of Working Together aims to enrich the art space’s programming in an innovative way, extending its mission of inclusivity while establishing the space as a point of investigation, exploration and research. The gallery space becomes a multipurpose environment beyond exhibition. The program for the next 6 weeks is inclusive of performance artists who will be invited to respond to the space as it becomes activated in its various phases. The finished installations will be on display and open for public viewing through September 24, concluding with an artist’s reception from 6-9pm.

About Samuel Schwindt https://www.samuelschwindt.xyz Samuel Schwindt’s work plays with the dueling concepts of intimacy and detachment. He sculpts abstractions and contortions with light-activated materials, conveying different stories ranging from the uncanny to the queer. He is a narrator to metonyms and metaphors, such as water and ice, skins, abstracted identities, and reflections of the complicated ego. Schwindt is from Indianapolis, Indiana, and based now in Chicago IL. He received his BFA in studio art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2019.
